When one of the teachers of the law came to Jesus with the question, " Which of the Commandments is the
greatest". Jesus gave him the answer which is recorded in Mark 12 verse 29 "The most important one is this; 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one, 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31 The second is this; Love your neighbour as yourself."
This simplifies our faith. Yes, we are to love God and our neighbour. Jesus first, others second and ourselves last.
Arthur one of our Elders, shared that little gem just the other evening in our house-group.
As we follow this simple guidance, we can expect to be blessed.
The Christian walk does not just consist of giving, but also of receiving. I am reminded of that great hymn -
Great is Your Faithfulness, with the salient line. "All I have needed Your hand has provided".
We have so many benefits of following Jesus to be grateful for.
Keep on being blessed.
